take it with a grain of salt... – or a couple spoonfuls. my friend's food was very salty, and i had heard similar complaints from others before going. service was slow but professional, and my fried green tomatoes and red snapper were well above average. great pina colada as well, and the wine selection is decent. i was a little put off by the fact that they were served in tumblers though...overall i liked the food and had a great experience. however, i've heard that they are very inconsistent and that to me is almost as bad... read more
Couldn't get any better – We had an amazing experience. My date was in awe with the atmosphere, which was very romantic, laid back, and just perfect. Reservation at 9, seated by 9:05. Great food, good wine, great date. Dinner and wine for 2 = $45.
Mixed Results – Overall the concept was very cool - atmosphere, food/wine concept etc. We were promptly seated with our reservation and began sampling our way through the menu. Here is where things got mixed - the descriptions of the food sounded great but then the execution was lacking on about half of everything we ordered. In the end this left a half sour "taste in our mouths." The server indicated they changed a majority of the menu every day so we will give it another try to see if the consistency improves.
Memorial Day Weekend – I made my reservation at 9:00. We were seated at 9:45. The server explained the concept, including their kegs of wine purchased directly from the Vineyard. The wine turned out to be a 1/2 carafe of wine for $24 with bubbles in it. It was as if it was still fermenting. We placed our starters order. Great food, great service – My family went there for a graduation dinner, 21 people (8 under the age of 10)! The service was very accomodating, especially when ordering for the kids. The food was absolutely fantastic, everyone had a clean plate at the end of the meal. We were seated promptly. I would recommend, however, calling to confirm your reservation. Terrible service – Good luck with your reservation! We had one and still didn't get in...ultimately due to the poor customer service of the management and staff. Only after we decided to leave did a manager apologize and find a table for us. At that point it was too late, literally! I have heard the food is good -- but the service was not worth the wait!
left hungry – I made a reservation for 8 on a Tuesday to celebrate my boyfriend's graduation. It took our server more than 5 minutes to greet us and more than 15 to bring our cocktails. She also brought me the wrong drink. We ordered dinner from a list of only 10 entrees. She then returns to tell me that they have ran out of what I ordered. Very hit or miss – We had an ok experience. The biggest problem was that we went for a nice, special occasion dinner and we were served too fast - out in about 1 hour. It was a rushed dining experience. The appetizers are excellent but our entrees were a little cold and drenched in oil and butter. Server was not very knowledgeable about wine.
Don't go hungry or thirsty.... – Waited for 1 hour for reservations made 5 weeks in advance. Drinks - was that a cosmo??, mojito - peppermint schnapps with ice, room temp chard came in water glass along with room temp water (european?). Appetizers were OK and small. Two people in our group had the touted pork shoulder which was tasteless and unappealingly diplayed with a side of seemed like "easy mac". Scallops were average.
