This is an excellent place to stay. I just left after staying there for a week. The hotel is beautiful and full of history. The rooms are amazing. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel is situated in The Strand area of Galveston which is beautiful and full of history. There are several great restaurants within walking distance.
The decor is a tribute to the exquisite taste of Cynthia Woods Mitchell.
The best. "Our place" on the island. Gorgeous and seeping with history. Beautifully priced if you know when to come and how to book. Spacious rooms. Easy walking distance to the harbor, great shops, nightlife, restaurants. Wonderful front desk agents -- especially Natalie. We park on the street and avoid valet costs. . .but we're cheap like that. :D And with Hotel Galvez being the Tremont's sister property? Built-in Galvez pool perks! Never will we stay at another property while visiting Galveston.
Ridiculous policy for your roof top bar. Sunday afternoon family of of 5 not allowed for a 19 year old TAMUG student and 16 year future TAMUG student accompanying parents. There is no law, just policy. We live in Clear Lake and go on the Island frequently. Ice House and Galvez same owners? Cross them off the list. Guess we will go to Moody Gardens or Fertittaville instead
Beautiful hotel with super friendly staff and awesome jazz on the weekends! We had a lovely getaway to celebrate our anniversary and had an awesome time staying at The Tremont House. Our room was spacious and comfy and the staff even sent us champagne and strawberries to help us celebrate. We'll be back next time we are looking for a special getaway!
We just had a great weekend at this beautiful Hotel. A block from the strand and four blocks from the Opera House. It was just ideal for the activities we had planned. We Arrived early and they were able to accomodate. If you have ever had a bad experience at this hotel, it would be your fault. The room was beautiful and people are so friendly and accomodating.
Wonderful weekend stay~ beautiful historical hotel, friendly staff, the Strand and fantastic restaurants are all walking distance, we had a great time and will definitely return!
The Tremont House is a beautiful place to stay. We arrived and there was a little problem with getting in our room. The kind lady at the front desk offered us a free drink for our trouble. The issue was resolved very quickly. The room was beautiful and clean. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you. Excellent service.
Spectacular place. The service and employees are top of their game. My wife love to stay there when in Galveston
