Re: stay at the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel. We had trouble checking in under the reservation booked on Marriott.com, so we re-booked while we were in the lobby on Expedia. No refund was given for the 1st reservation even though staff told us they would because we made the SAME reservation - just with different site!! I recently stayed at a fairlfied Inn Chicago Midway airport on 02-15-20 and I woke up and felt something crawling on me. when I got up and pulled the sheets back I noticed a small red bug crawling on the sheets. My boyfriend and I stayed at the Westin Philadelphia the weekend after Christmas for two nights, and our room was broken into (room 802, next to the elevators). We realized it a couple hours after we returned to our room that day after receiving a notification from my credit card company that my card had been used at a few stores in the area. I reserved room in the Moxy hotel in Chelsea (New York city) which belongs to the Marriott hotels and was misled by their deceiving advertisement. I was specifically looking for room for just 1 night with panoramic NYC view to make surprise to my wife before we move to the West Coast. We recently stayed at this Courtyard by Marriott. Our room was fine, but in the morning I tried to take a shower. The water would only come out scalding hot. After 5 minutes of adjusting and waiting I gave up trying to shower, packed up and checked out. At checkout I told the clerk what had happened. She offered me a $20 discount. I told her I was not satisfied, that I expected the shower to be functional. This place is not at all friendly towards the disabled. I realize this won't make the least bit of difference to the Gaylord, but in an effort to save some people some money, I'd avoid the Gaylord. We bought tickets to see the ice event (which is typically very nice) However, they didn't have any parking. Our party has a person who is not able to walk, and they had zero accommodations for the disabled.
