I have been with State Farm for around 20 years. I previously have had a good experience, but I don't know what happened with them recently. If I could give zero stars, I would. I hit a deer 2 weeks ago. Since then, State Farm cancelled salvage because they "couldn't locate the vehicle" despite me AND the tow company confirming the car's location at least 3 times. State Farm {Auto} does NOT even deserve one star! I have never ever known an insurance company as VILE, down and dirty, and UNPROFESSIONAL as State Farm! The people they hire make the dregs of society look good! They are liars & cheats! Even if one is "in the right" they will LIE & make false reports, and if it is their client decide in the favor of their client, even if their client caused the accident and was in the wrong!.........If you ever have someone answer the phone named "Marta" hang up!

The WORST company ever! If I could give less than 1 star I would. Horrible customer service, management team who doesn’t call you back and refused to speak to customers. They left me paying for my own rental due to their lack of urgency, it took them a month to send someone to even look at my car. I filed a complaint and then they denied my claim 1 hour after filing a complaint. If you are looking for an insurance company that will help you with claims if something happens, stay away from State Farm. We had a sudden and accidental hot water pex pipe to burst inside our walk-in closet wall. State Farm would not pay for the repair to stop the leak. Also, State Farm would not pay for rerouting of the plumbing lines to keep a leak from happening again. All sheet rock work torn out to do a reroute of plumbing lines was not covered either under your replacement costs. We feel that State Farm should have c... read more

Too bad 1 star is the lowest. My wife and I had a car accident on vacation. The first call to SF we were told our car would be "towed back to my home area to be fixed, I even got a call from the local repair shop the next day. No call back from the towing company. Called SF again and was told that the car would not be towed to *******, but 30-50 miles to repair shop and towing company would call. No call back. We rented a car to get home as our vacay was over. I have called and spoken with multiple people in the same agents office and get a different answer to the same question each time I call. I decided to reach out to the customer service number and the guy that answered the phone was incredibly rude, and when I said please do not transfer me, he hung up on me
