January 2017 - they delivered the phone books in the rain...REALLY?? - you couldn't wait a day until it stopped. Ours & our neighbors books were in bags which held the water with the dead books lying in our yards. It completely fell apart when you picked it up. When i complained they said no one had complained...not a good sign that anyone is missing or even using this book. So i asked if they were going to redeliver? Sure - how many do you need? I was mislead when purchasing line listings in the white and yellow pages. When I discovered that my home phone and business phone was no longer under either listing, I called to see how I could get in their phone book. I was quoted a total of $59.50 (for something that should be free). I received the billing invoice and paid it, then I received another bill the following month. The client had switched phone providers and in that process changed to a company that no longer providers her with any type of free listing for her business or her residence. DexMedia unfortunately does not control these listings and we only receive listing information from the actual telephonies companies such as CenturyLink, Verizon & AT&T and not from the CLEC / VOIP companies. have been trying to work with YP to get my business account straightened out. Reported to BBB.org got an initial response still am FIGHTING. They are too big for one person to understand the complexity of the issues. the "write tickets" but not enough follow thru. They seem to be interested in money only because they have no vetting process to screen free or paid for ads by illegal companies. this is putting small businesses like mine Since (1965) out of business.

This company screwed my company of $2700 and didnt provide a single lead for us. They ruined my company. They prey on small businesses

STAY AWAY FROM DEX MEDIA!!! We called to cancel in October, and we did not want to renew for 2017. Big surprise, we still received an invoice and showed that were were reenrolled through to January of 2018. I called after getting the bill to cancel again. I was given reference numbers and case numbers along with a cancellation number. You would think that would take care of the problem. Guess what?? It didn't. I still got an addtional bill just today still showing that we owe money and we are enrolled until 2018. I'm waiting... read more

Dex Media contacted the client to discuss this issue and resolve the complaint. Our records indicate the cancellation was received but the advertising was not pulled from our records. As requested, we have cancelled as well as adjusted for all fees billed after the cancel was received and also placed a cancel on file for any future issue. What a scam! We have never signed up for advertising with this company. Out of the blue we start getting bills and collection calls. When speaking with the collection agency, we asked for a copy of the contract and who it was that authorized the contract. No answers, just the run around trying to collect money.

Thank you for the opportunity to address this issue. We spoke with our client & advised that the authorization was done in April for the print book that came out in November. Discussed the product & agreed that there was possibly a language barrier & that client wasn't clear on what was being discussed on call. Agreed to adjust charges & notified collections to stop collection efforts as well. Thank you

This is a terrible company that now forces their advertising on you by listing your business without permission then billing you for it and sending you collections notices without even having signed up for advertising. They are bullies and crooks. I dealt with a particularly rude lady named Frenchie B***** who interrupted me, talked down to me, bragged about how good she was, and was totally unprofessional. I have advertised for years with YP, after giving up on their servcies for not delivering new customers as they promised cancallation of my account was nothing but phones calls and emails leading to nowhere. They make it impossible to speak to anybody until your contract automatically renews itself. This place is a scam with a big name.

I made a payment of $984.75 to Dex Media in December of 2015. This was about the same time that they changed to a new website. Payment didn't post in January 2016. Called customer service. Emailed and spoke to my account manager. Sent a bank statement and an email from them showing that the money was paid. Heard (from their own employees) that there were over 30,000 accounting errors made when the website switched. We also removed all late fees & invoice fees as well as notified the Outside Collection Agency that the account is now current. We did advise the Outside Collection Agency of the issue our client had with them contacting him after 3 days when he was told it would be on a 10 day collections hold. We were able to get the issue resolved & are looking into why this happened. Thank you
