I caution anyone considering advertising with YP to be very cautious. I got a solicitation phone call from one of their reps (Lloyd ***** this summer and agreed to a monthly trial of $ 99 a month. Fortunately, I never signed a contract and have saved his emails where he responded affirmatively to my decision to test them out for a few months. Remember in the 70's when Yellow Pages actually had a reputable brand? They are obsolete and unaware now. Do you want to see a dying business model that neglected to alert their employees to the fact? I am a business owner (fine dining restaurants) that was sold on trying their sub-par marketing tools. When they reduced the buy in price by 50% I bit and took out a 6 month ad campaign on smart devices which linked our business via a banner. Our monthly charges were going up from when I renewed the contract and I tried to contact them and could not get anyone to explain the changes and no one would return calls. We cancelled on August 9 and still got the same amount billed. I called and Jane told me it would drop to less than half until yellow pages contract was up. The September bill came for the same amount and Fem told me to only pay the reduced amount. Thank you for the opportunity to resolve this issue. We spoke with our client & we were able to locate a training opportunity as the client was told incorrectly that the digital contract was now under a month to month contract & could be cancelled at any time, so it would no longer be billed after August. This unfortunately was incorrect & was not the case. However, because the client was advised of this incorrectly, we did remove the digital product & adjust the September & October billing, & it will not bill going forward.... read more
This is the worst company to do business with. Don't have a contract as they will continue charging you but never follow through with the agreement and will not let you cancel. You will get turned over to the collections and filed against your credit report. My advice is to go with google or another advertisement. Yp is the worst advertisement company I have been in contact with.
