The very aggressive Representative assured me that he could meet or beat the loan estimate I obtained from another company. I sent him a copy. Based on his assurance, I paid a fee to lock in the interest rate. He neither met or beat the loan estimate from the other company. The numbers in his loan estimate were incorrect. For example, the taxes and insurance were dramatically reduced from the actual costs. You cant beat a loan estimate when the actual loan proposed is a higher amount!
