I had a very bad experience with LoanDepot. Once the rate is locked and the loan goes for processing, the loan processor's phones are set to directly send you to voicemail. It doesn't matter how many voicemails you leave, they never call you back unless it's the day before the closing and then they ask you for all the documents that you have already sent to them in email AND uploaded on their website. Do not trust this company. I authorized a payment of $21.70 to lock in interest rate with option to not proceed with the loan. Called, emailed the next day with notice not to proceed with the loan. That very day there was an unauthorized transaction on my credit card of $495 appraisal fee. I have finally after numerous calls received an email saying I am due a refund and it may take 7 to 30 days to receive. It has been 27 days since the initial transaction came out of my credit card, now I'm paying interest on a charge I did... read more
