I have been trying to refinance a property with Loan Depot for 7 months! For some reason they will not return emails or phone calls! They have said that I am qualified for the loan, have submitted all necessary documents, but for some reason they are no longer communicating other than periodically sending me emails telling me that they have extended my rate lock. Problems with that are it hits my credit score every time they do that and the rate is no longer competitive! Would buy down the rate but need someone to communicat... read more

Dishonest and unethical practices Loan depot took 4 months to process my mortgage application. During the last week of closing, once my mortgage financing contingency expired, the bank increased the interest rate and charged me several thousand dollars of points. At that point with days before closing, I had no choice but to accept the new unfavorable loan terms or lose my security deposit,
I will start by saying I will NEVER do business with LoanDepot again. That is hard for me to say since I have done multiple transactions in the past. My loan process was ridiculously mismanaged. The day had come for my wife and I to sign our papers and celebrate our new home we spent 9 months building. What was supposed to be a celebration turned into a huge let down as we waited in the parking lot of the title company waiting for our loan to fund. i have called them 3 times and asked them to stop sending me letters and they say we have removed your address...and yet for the past 2 years i have gotten letters form this company!
