Cool Scene – I went here with a few friends for dinner the other day. Since we were unable to get a reservation, we sat in the lounge. While the scene was cool, we had to sit next to another party and share the same table which was awkward at times. The bar scene was awesome and the drink list extensive. The tapas were delectable and creative. The only downside was that we ordered two more tapas than that waitress suggested and some members of my party still left hungry. Doing It Again – I've been here twice and must say it is group friendly whether upstairs in the lounge or downstairs in a booth. The booth experience I have some preference for when in a 6+ group. The waitstaff is phenomenal, everyone orders as they are pleased to and the food is brought out round after round as opposed to all at once. Impressed, sorda. – I actually hadn't been to Stanton, surprisingly, though I had heard phenominal things about it and my friends go often. So, last night, I decided to venture to Noho, or the East Village, whatever you want to call it. We were at the bar for 15 or 20 minutes, since we didn't make a reservation and had a few drinks. Supreme service, attentive staff, fabulous food, gorgeous atmosphere... – Made reservation for 4 on a Saturday night, but 2 of our party were late and SS staff understood and bumped us to a 1/2 hour later. Lived Up to High Expectations – Last night I went to Stanton Social for my first time with some girlfriends. For over a year, I have been hearing about this restaurant and especially about the French Onion soup dumplings! I have to say that it was an absolutely amazing experience. Gem on the LES – Stanton came highly recomended,(Kudos kahntora) and was impecable to say the least. Honestly, Ive never been so content without a main course as I was here. The menu was different and off the beaten path, and top shelf tasting and mid shelf costing. One of my favorites - as long as I plan in advance.... – As the other users are saying, you must make a reservation well in advance. When I have done so, I've always had fantastic service as well as amazing food. Everything I've tried from the menu is good, but I love the donuts and Kobe beef sliders. The drinks are also worth the trip, the bartender is not afraid to give you a stiff pour. I'm already excited about my next visit!
Great party place... but BOOK wwaaaaay in advance! – I have been to dinner here about 4 times.. including a small, intimate gathering of friends for her birthday... and my larger, private party of 20 for my 30th birthday dinner.
