One of the best! – Great food, great service, and a cool vibe. The bar upstairs is a decent spot to wait for your table and the wait is usually short if you have a reservation. The food is really yummy and it's a great spot to people watch. I have nothing negative to say except make a reservation at least two weeks in advance.
Tyra was fat and her wig was awful....great food! – The Stanton Social Club was a great experience. Our server knew what he was talking about. The food was excellent (small portions). The ribs, french onion dumplings, meatballs and chicken cashew rolls and wine were all excellent. The bill was even more surprising (it's very inexpensive considering the food, service, atmospere ect.) Our only problem was Tyra Banks. Great Service; Tasty Food! – We often go to Stanton Social and have a great time, and our recent trip out celebrating our friend's birthday was no exception. The food - amazing and of fantastic variety (get the pierogies and the baby kobe burgers, trust me). The desserts are insane, especially the chocolate sampler. Avoid at all cost--especially with a large (>5 ) group – Rude Rude Rude, Can I say it one more time? Rude Rude Rude. We arrived with a large group--early and were seated in the lounge. Very nice waitress but the hostess (who obviously thought she was the Sh--but wasn't) and the rude bouncers were unbelievable. Great SUnday Brunch, Tapas – Had a great Sunday brunch with a group of friends. Nicely designed, clean classic look. Small portioned plates made for sharing. Large variety of foods. Something for everyone. You can order tons of plates and the staff will bring them throughout your meal, trying a few at a time. Enjoyed it very much. Waitress friendly and helpful. Not overcrowded.
Not so great – Went there last week and one of the worst bar I have ever been to in NY. The service was bad and over crowded. Some of the staff are very rude and arrogant. Not my kind of scene.
Worst service ever!! – We went to Stanton Social - the lounge on Thursday night (a group of around 10 guys and 10 girls). Even though the lounge was fairly empty, the bouncer kept asking us to move - if we sat on the couch, we have to keep our legs on the inside (but its okay for the girls on the adjoining table to keep their legs out), we cannot stand next to the bar - we are blocking people, every place we went to - the bouncer was following us and telling us that we cannot stand there. Rude Staff, Bad service – Went there last night for a party, this is probably the worst place to go, the staff was not courteous at all. Drinks were good but the service was very bad. Staff was rude, we finally left disappointed. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
Nice Lounge, Good Service, Very Pricey – I went to Stanton last night for a friend's B-day. The vibe of this place is great - gorgeous lounge. The drink menu is very different but good selection - food is great too. I will have to say the menu is very pricey! So be prepared to spend a lot of money - even if you are just wanted to go have a few drinks and appetizers. Oh yeah, great service too.
