Best Small Plates – Stanton Social is delicious!! The tapas are so unique and innovative, not to mention scrumptious. The french soup dumplings, crabmeat corndogs, mini burgers, mini tacos are all amazing. And you cannot leave without trying the mini donuts with dipping sauces! The scene here is very cool and trendy as well. Dress to impress and have a great night out!
Fun place, good food, make a reservation – Great place for a fun night out. It gets filled up after 9 so make a reservation on the weekends in advance. The food is great to not so great. Just choose wisely (i.e. goat cheese ravioli and crab cake corn dogs - not so good; while chipotle shrimp and short rib tacos are great). Enjoy the desserts too. The place is loud and can be expensive, but don't let that turn you off. Between the food, the architecture and the service (not pushy and very friendly) this place is great.
Fun and Trendy food and atmosphere – I've gone two times so far and each time I've loved it. One time was with a large group of girls... we at dinner on the level between the first and second overlooking the main dining room in front of a wall of wine bottles... awesome atmosphere and food. We all shared a bunch of dishes and each was better than the last. The second time I went was for my anniversary and we shared a bottle of wine and a few small plates. The edamame is the best I've had. While it is a bit on the expensive s... read more
Highly recommend – I've gone here twice and each time had a wonderful experience. The food here is AMAZING. People complain it's pricey and yes it is... but they seem to forget that the quality is very very high. Every single thing I've tried there has been so good (and my boyfriend and I are picky eaters). The service is very good... very friendly staff. The crab cakes and sliders are to die for and you CANNOT leave without having the chocolate milkshake shots. Perfect for that special night out with that special someone.
GREAT FOOD, TOO LOUD TO BE ROMANTIC – My BF and I came here on a Saturday night with reservations. I've never been, he has and loved it. We were squeezed in between another two top, it was nearly impossible to get by without knocking over the glass of wine on the next table. We had to slide the table over to get by. Once seated, it was so difficult to have a conversation with the person across the table. I felt as if I was having dinner with the group and not just ourselves. I spent the first 15 minutes listening to our neig... read more
Trendy dinner scene – I ate here on a Friday night with a friend. I definitely recommend making reservations weeks in advance for a Thursday or Friday night. Our waitress was extremely helpful in her recommendations unlike others who will list off the whole menu when you ask for a rec. We ordered 4 dishes between us: french onion soup dumplings (interesting concept, but on the sweet side), jalapeno sashimi (excellent), red snapper tacos (highly recommend) and a pizza (not recommended, nothing special). The warm donuts are am... read more
Delicious food and cosy classy atmosphere – My friend and I stopped by here without reservations and were sent upstairs to the bar area where you can order food. We sat back on their comfortable sofas and ordered a few appetizers to share. The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. All the appetizers we ordered were delicious. It's a little bit pricey for the portions, but we enjoyed ourselves immensely!
Food is good, but Service is unpleasant! – We made a reservation for 6 people, but at the last minute had to change it to 8. They told us its impossible, but after begging and pleading, they ALLOWED us to add the two additional people. When we got there, they proceded to tell us that becuase we changed the reservation, we had to evacuate the table in 2 hours. Nobody even asked us to take care of the flowers that we brought. The service here is UNPLEASANT, the music is loud...the waitresses are very unattentive...the portions... read more
Truly a unique place – The pierogies, pizzetta's, and steak are my favorites. The cocktail list is a little pricey, but everything I've tried has been worth it. Like the menu, the wine list has some really unique items. The food is incredible. I live in the area and have been back four times since my first visit last month. The frittata's at brunch are delicious. Everytime I go, I have a great time. The Stanton Social is a busy NYC restaurant and at times may suffer the usual mishaps, but all around it's got great food, a fr... read more
