Great gourmet restaurant – This was my first time to this word-of-mouth hip and social restaurant. The dim lighting gives off the impression of a great date spot as well as an up-scale restaraunt. Every dish that was ordered was so different and the taste was impeccable. Really fun dining experience – This place is a fun and whimsical dining experience. I went with two friends and we loved everything we tasted. The drinks are tasty and the French onion soup dumplings and the duck confit empanadas are a must. Our only complaint was that our servers were a little over-bearing. MEDIOCRITY – Very, very mediocre, surprisingly amateur food -- I have been to The Stanton Social twice now and have tried most of the items on their menu. Their food sounds great on the menu and also looks great -- but disappointment strikes when it's tasted. I went to Stanton Social last night for the first time with a large group of friends and had a great experience. Exciting neighborhood and Fabulous food! – I just celebrated a bachelorete party with a group of girlfriends on a recommendation from the guy at Hunk-O-Mania male strip club for women we went to this restaurant and let me tell you the food at this place is amazing, the decor is great and the service was OK. Go to inotecca instead- horrible service!! – When I first went to Stanton Social it was a great experience. That's why I tried to go back last weekend with friends who were visiting from Spain. I called ahead and they said although they were fully reserved for that evening, that we could put our names on a wait list at the bar and be able to eat dinner in the bar area. Perfect mix of a NY 'social' scene, with delicious food and wonderful service – I went to The Stanton Social this past weekend with a party of 7 for my fiance's Birthday. We were looking for a place with a trendy, hip atmosphere (for my fiance) and phenomenal food (for me) and I called nearly 3 weeks in advance to make a reservation. Social Butterfly – This is one of my favorite scenes. It's vibrant and full of the young and beautiful LES hipsters. However, that means it's also incredibly loud, as people wax philosophic about the real meaning of the new D&G spring line. Anyway, you know what you're getting into, and there's nary a dull moment. Just don't expect to converse with your neighbor at quieter than a yell. The food is yummy, and tapas style, which I like, rather than big entree style. The French Onion dumplings are amazing.
Good ambiance, Good food, too expensive, too loud – This is one of my favorite places to visit when I come to New York City. Book a table beforehand because it gets filled up! I would suggest sharing a a few dishes with whomever you go with. For example, if you are two people, try getting 4 or 5 dishes. I would suggest the goat cheese perogie and onion soup dumplings. I only wish they served bread before hand and had more seating
