I have read other reviews complaining about the outdated rooms. We really loved our rooms. We stayed in The Lodge and it was quiet, cozy and beautiful. It was very hot in our room but opening the window worked just fine for us. I was disappointed that as a guest we were not able to get in on any of the tours. We tried to make reservations for any tour available upon arrival and nothing was available.
We got a superior king suite in the main building. The room was great. Felt like home. Took a Spirit Tour our last night and got to go into the concert hall. All I could smell was cherry cigars which was crazy! Can’t wait to stay again. Hopefully sleep in 217 or on the 4th floor next time!
My boyfriend and I just got back from the hotel. It was nice, secluded in the mountains, and it's historical value has been kept. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. However, the rooms are very over priced. We stayed in the main building and we couldn't control the temperature in our room so it was freezing all night. The hot water barely works if at all in the shower. Our room was very tiny and felt claustrophobic, yet we paid nearly $500 dollars for two nights. It's pretty creepy, I still enjoyed the stay and r... read more
The hotel has so much history and amazing. We stayed on the 4th floor room 401. Very excited to stay in that room but the cleanliness of the room could of been better. We had trash on the floor by the bed and food on the floor in the closet. The room was missing some furniture and I had to screw in the light bulbs back in the ceiling fan which someone unscrewed. It was also missing the lamp on the side of the bed. For the price of the Haunted room I would have thought it would have been takes care of better. Other than the r... read more
Some minor communication issues negatively affected our stay. When we talked to a staff member on the phone when we booked he ensured we would be staying in The Stanely, but when we checked in they had reserved our room in The Lodge. Not a big deal, but we did really want to stay in the original Stanley. When we asked for a wine opener or someone to open our wine, we were told we would need to bring our bottle down to the bar (as in walk outside from the Lodge to the bar in the Stanely) and wait for it to be opened. Most ups... read more
Absolutely in love with this place! We stayed in room #422 and had an active night. Planning on returning during the summer
Hotel fabuleux !
I have not yet been fortunate enough to visit, however the only view I have in mind is PICTURESQUE!! :-D
Kate was a great tour guide...we all had a blast!!
