The Ottobar

4.5

About this business

The hippest place in Baltimore to see an alternative rock band is this scruffy, but chic, midtown establishment. The bar itself is very small, so many patrons stand or sit in front of the tiny stage, or wander around the multi-colored second and third floors. The bands are either unsigned locals or independent-label acts. All play loud and fast.

totally recommend this place to all men on this planet, but especially to men who wish they were lesbians! ❤️ throwing out two dancing lesbians for having opposing feminist views by using physical intimidation: heaven on earth for patriarchal males! love it. they can get a hard-on by just watching this happen (where else can you throw women out for being feminists.. i mean... right???). it's a great pleace, really! so, let the witch hunts begin 🥳

apparently lesbians are considered "unsafe" costumers and can be thrown out of the place without any reason.

I love Ottobar. Such an amazing space for shows and hangouts.

This place does not provide the "safe space" it implies. They are extremely misogynistic, and homphobic. Do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere else!

ottobar has been a great place to go to for many years. staff does everything it can to protect patrons like monitoring moshing&stage-diving and making sure trans-exclusive “feminists” aren’t there. thanks ottobar! 💖🥳

Reviewing upstairs bar— fun, queer-friendly atmosphere. I can always rely on a good dance party and a couple of games of pool.

Ottobar always has *something* going on, from larger touring acts downstairs to free local acts and karaoke upstairs. Staff is friendly, diverse, knowledgeable and drinks are cheap. Glad to live within walking distance of this place (unlike all the folks currently leaving negative reviews 😂).
