The Ottobar

4.5

About this business

The hippest place in Baltimore to see an alternative rock band is this scruffy, but chic, midtown establishment. The bar itself is very small, so many patrons stand or sit in front of the tiny stage, or wander around the multi-colored second and third floors. The bands are either unsigned locals or independent-label acts. All play loud and fast.

I am disgusted at the homophobia shown towards a lesbian couple by your staff. Friends of mine were targeted and thrown out just for dancing and kissing. This is not a safe space for lesbians. Men have no right to treat women this way. It's 2019 FFS learn to accept people for what they are.

This bar discriminates against lesbians. A young woman and her girlfriend who had been dancing together and harming no one were manhandled and pushed around and forced to leave the bar, with no clear or coherent explanation of why they were being treated this way. Talking about the situation outside, they were then further harassed and told that they had to move FIFTY FEET AWAY FROM THE BAR, because it ... read more
