The hippest place in Baltimore to see an alternative rock band is this scruffy, but chic, midtown establishment. The bar itself is very small, so many patrons stand or sit in front of the tiny stage, or wander around the multi-colored second and third floors. The bands are either unsigned locals or independent-label acts. All play loud and fast.

Homophobic venue, unfortunately.
Stop discriminating against lesbian!
Stop being Lesbophobic, women have a right to be same sex attracted.
Lesbophobic! Since when does a punk bar kick out lesbians for kissing and dancing? Pathetic.
Lesbophobia and misogyny at their finest
You kicked out a lesbian couple and threatened them with violence. I used to like Ottobar. I will never go back. Shame.
its a "no women allowed" zone. don't go if you're a happy soul. you will be removed.
great venue to catch both Goth/Post-Punk and Punk Band's play.
I've been going to shows at the Ottobar since I was 16 years old, 11 years later, it's still my favorite venue in Baltimore City. As a queer woman, I've always felt welcome, and safe here (even more now that I know they kick out gross TERFs!). I will continue to give the Ottobar my business as long as I can!!
The Ottobar has a 4.5 star rating with 2,710 reviews.
The Ottobar is closed now. It will open on Monday at 9:00 a.m.
