The Ottobar

4.5

About this business

The hippest place in Baltimore to see an alternative rock band is this scruffy, but chic, midtown establishment. The bar itself is very small, so many patrons stand or sit in front of the tiny stage, or wander around the multi-colored second and third floors. The bands are either unsigned locals or independent-label acts. All play loud and fast.

apparently lesbians are considered "unsafe" costumers and can be thrown out of the place without any reason.

Amazing venue for music! Also very inclusive! As long as you aren’t intolerant of people living their truths and best lives you will love it here!

Ottobar is one of Baltimore's best venues. Excellent staff, drink selection, and atmosphere. I'm a born and raised Baltimoron and I can't imagine our city without this place!

Great venue with a supportive atmosphere cultivated by principled and vigilant staff. There aren't many places where LGBTQAI+ people can feel safe being out and about in public, but this is surely one of them. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
