RecommendedWow, right smack dab in the middle of down town. This hotel has the nicest rooms I’ve ever stayed it. Giant suite style rooms with range and kitchen sink. Really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast the auto espresso machine was a really nice touch. Right outside is a nice food truck park with sooo many options to eat. Definitely recommend!
While the hotel is nice, charming, clean and centrally located to everything, the noise level from the wedding party above our room was atrocious. I left the hotel bleary eyed from lack of sleep. Constant banging, slamming doors and muffled voices could be heard throughout the early hours of the morning from the party above us and then a few hours later when they woke up I am assuming to attend their event. I will never stay anywhere in Portland except Mark Spencer. This was our third time staying and it continued to impress us. Check-in is a breeze, even in its downtown location which in other places can often make for tricky parking situations or a hassle to carry things in etc. The staff is friendly and efficient and always makes us feel welcome. I love the spacious rooms which really feel like home...we're usually gone for a couple weeks at a time and Portland is one stop on multi-city trips, so the time we spend at Mark Sp... read more
The Mark Spencer Hotel was great! I travel a lot for work and rarely am I excited to check in to my hotel. This place was the exception. Perfect location, friendly staff, and clean rooms. Loved it and will be back

for fours today was w/out water .. no one said- the cleaning staff didn't know either which means that effects how clean things are .. had to cancel two appointments .. recycling not done .. my stove not working as it should... i'm here on business and stay until next Monday .. it's horrific here .. there are some lovely staff folk but no.. I stayed here four years ago -it was nice but no longer ..
Beautiful accommodations, quiet, and a very comfortable bed!
