If I could give them -500 stars it would be to many never never never again will I walk into a Home Depot business like you make millions and yet you can not give a discount nor be respectful to a veteran.... Who the hell do you think you are and exactly what the hell do you stand for
I think the way the Veteran was treated was awful. Store policy or not. I am glad the customer in line behind him spoke up. I only hope they left their purchases on the counter and went to Lowes. I live in Chattanooga TN. So this post is definitely making the web Just another reason to shop at Lowes.
A manager who cares more about profits than he does about our vets is a disgrace. Next time consider who your primary stakeholders are, who do you need to run a successful business, who gives you your profits? Without customers you cannot be a successful businessman, choose your battles wisely!
Your manager made more than one poor choice. Policy needs revisiting as well as managements training.
Home Depot needs to stand up for the Veterans. Turning down a discount? Really are you losing that much money? You turned down couple dollars for a discount but you probably have lost lots and lots of Money from others that use to shop with y'all. Good job HD!
Regarding the lack of respect given to the fellow who asked for a military discount..... It's unfortunate that you made this choice. We will no longer give Home Depot our business.
