From its not-so-humble beginnings as the home of Carl Hilmer Guenther in 1860, it has been restored into one of the more unique dining experiences in the city. The breakfast menu (served all day) offers Southern Sweet Cream Waffles and breakfast tacos, among other items. We celebrated our daughters Sweet 16 with a brunch in the Rooftop Garden room. It was the perfect setting with a gracious and attentive staff. Nelson and Lucy are warm and welcoming. They made our sweet girl's birthday effortless! Thank you Geunther House for being absolutely lovely and thank you Nelson and Lucy!
Pancakes weren't nearly as good as in the past. But service was goof
Everything was great.. We enjoyed the atmosphere and staff was very nice. We will definitely be back.
My food was delicious and the service was excellent.
Great food. We had the chicken and waffles--excellent. Also waffles with strawberries and biscuits with gravy. The food is delicious and sitting outside was very nice as the view of the river walk is peaceful. Awesome customer service too.
Great place for perfect date, now is one of my fav place in San Antonio
I had the 18** platter. It was great. Wish I could have tried everything. My wife had the waffle and it was the best I've ever had. Hard to say what makes a waffle the best, but it was. I'd like to try the pancakes also but going home now. Next time!!
So good we had breakfast two times while visiting last week. Top quality food and outstanding wait persons. Nice and cozy surroundings. A must visit place in SA!
I never ever leave reviews but I have to with this one. The waiter was by far the best I have had , the food was at its best and the best food I have ever had , I am planning to go more often , not only because of delicious food but for the hospitality that makes you feel like you are at home
