The Guenther House makes its home in an elegant historic mansion on the property of Pioneer Flour Mills in the historic King William area. From its not-so-humble beginnings as the home of Carl Hilmer Guenther in 1860, it has been restored into one of the more unique dining experiences in the city. The breakfast menu (served all day) offers Southern Sweet Cream Waffles and breakfast tacos, among other items. At lunch, choose from such entries as Champagne Chicken Enchiladas and Pioneer Taco Salad.

Great breakfast. We had to wait about 1/2 hour but it was a lovely day and the grounds are nice to wander around. Lemonade best we've ever had. Glad we went

The food is so delicious! I got the waffles and they were so soft. When we went to browse the gift shop, there were samples of some kind of butter bread. It melted in my mouth. I highly recommend going at least once.
One of the Best if not the Best Breakfast and lunch restaurants. If you are in San Antonio this is one that you have to eat at. Excellent food and service.
It was quite an experience. Love the fact that people can tour while waiting for their tables. They're living up to the TX motto "everything is big in TX" with their cinnamon bun. Good food good service as well.

By far the best breakfast in San Antonio. Lovely setting, on the San Antonio river and there's plenty to look at and enjoy while you enjoy a wait. Definitely try the Belgian waffles (the strawberries were the best) and the Founder's Choice coffee is delicious. It has a rich, southern pecan flavor. I wish I had bought some to bring home. Will definitely return soon.
