I had heard so many good things about The Bayou, I couldn't wait to try it! The food was amazing and the decor is warm and inviting. It was a Saturday evening and the service was kind of slow. But I think they were understaffed. Overall I love the place and will definitely be returning in the future! You HAVE to try the mac and cheese!

The food was really good but very slow service. We planned an hour for this restaurant and it took more like an hour and forty five minutes from being seated to leaving and that was with no dessert. I would go there again but just be prepared to be there a while. We had the gumbo, corn bread, small plate ribs and fried chicken. All very good.

Great food. Fun was had by all. Loved the Mac and cheese and apple barrel.

It took an hour for the main course to come out. The waitress was not attentive. Doors were propped open which allowed cigarette smoke to draft indoors. Food was decent, but nothing exceptional.

We were missing the wonderful food we had in NOLA, so took a ride from Reading to check out The Bayou. The food was even better than I had hoped for, and the services was great too!
