Actually, less than 1. Rushed to ER and admitted 1/11/18. Humerus broke in 9 places. Surgery 2 days later. A nurse that was helping me prepare for surgery (whom I can describe), helped me remove my diamond earrings but did not give them to my waiting husband. I was treated fine, but never got a diagnosis. I was in about 4 days. Went in with severe stomach pain. They controlled that pain. About my 3rd day there, a nurse came in to give me a blood thinner injection, and when I asked why, she said the "surgeon" wanted me to have it. I asked, "what surgeon?" She said for my gall bladder. With had surgery here in May, at pre-surgery asked for all people who would be working on her, except our doctor. Given a list and I called and verified all were in network with her health insurance. However, the doctor asked for a surgical assistance, and got the next one on their list provided by hospital. This surgical assistance group was not in network, so did not go against out of pocket in network and cost us $2970 more out of our pocket. When I asked prior to surgery to verify all in network. I went to Texas Health Huguley Hopital recently with flu like systems. I was diagnosed as having the flu. The great older doctor on duty was very thorough, and he sent me off with the right drugs. His care was exactly what I needed and the flu is very hard to overcome. I'm thankful for His thorough examination and knowledgeable care.
