I took my brother in-law (BIL) to Huguley ER where this joker Dr Lewis Westerfield D.O. works. My BIL has fallen 5 times that week. This Doc ordered a CT of neck and X-rays of ribs and low back. He came in and removed the neck brace that Medstar put on him and his exact words were “All your tests show no fractures, they are normal” then he left. He didn’t bother ordering any labs or UA. We had to request them through the nurse as well as requesting that he go to rehab. Doc. Comes in and said all the labs and urine were fine.... read more
Thre are to many inexperienced managers and directors. They don’t know how to separate personal and professional feels about their employees. It would be better if people could advance on their merit , skill, and knowledge not through nepotism. The hospital would be better off as a whole. Employees satisfaction scores would soar and in turn the patient scores would soar. A hospital job is to provide excellent care to our clients and families. I only say "Doesn't Recommend" if you're going to the ER for a Kidney Stone attack. I was passing a kidney stone that had me vomiting and completely debilitated. My door-to-med time was about 3 hours. If you've ever had a kidney stone, 15 minutes is an eternity. Positives: The male triage nurse was very empathetic and helpful. He understood the urgency and seemed to care. The older female at triage was the opposite. She didn't seem to have any sense of urgency. I had my baby there in 2013. love it only trust this Hospital completely.
I hate to say I don't reccomend Huguley because for the most part my and my husband's experiences there have been positive. The radiologist however has misread x-rays in my past two ER visits. I was told no fracture both times but upon follow up with the orthopedist I find out I did in fact have fractures. My interactions with all other staff has been excellent. Your radiologist who reads ER x-rays is pathetic.
Fun place to work out! Staff is friendly and helpful. Lots of nice people to work out with too.
