Both emergency room trips that I have been here have been a 4 hr wait. One of those trips we ended up walking out without treatment or discharge after sitting in the room for hrs. While sitting in the room I could hear an entire room full of people laughing and the nurses in the hallway just chit chatting. Absolutely HORRIBLE and I will NEVER go here again. Thankfully family advocacy was very nice and apologetic on their behalf and willing to dispute the bill and issues with the TCH leadership team.
RecommendedThere are no words to express how thankful we are for the team that makes up Texas Children's. From start to finish, every person we interacted with was so helpful and compassionate! The doctors were thorough, and bedside manner top notch. They talked us through everything, took the time to explain, and answered all questions/concerns - we truly felt like we were their only patient! The nursing staff and everyone else who helped care for us were just as amazing. there is no other hospital I will ever take my children to.
The facility is nice and some staff are nice as well. But we took my grandson in because his doctor said he had yellow fluid behind both his eardrums. The nurse seemed to be in too big of a rush and said nothing was wrong and sent him home. The next few nights were terrible bc he got extremely sick and continued pulling his ears and had fever. Today his parents took him to a specialist and sure enough he had double ear infection. This all could of been avoided. So disappointed.
Great staff! Took great care of my granddaughter and very informative.

My daughter was taken to the ER tonight and I called into check on her since I couldn’t be there recently had a baby. Was told that I couldn’t be on the phone to find out what was going on. The PA that was in the room went to ask the charge nurse and came wack without a response. A dr had entered the room by that point with a complete change of care. Everyone was so kind and helpful!!
I brought my daughter to the ER last night and was beyond impressed with everyone and everything. She had been having a hard time breathing and the triage nurses were at my side the moment I told the front desk lady what was going on. We didn’t even sit down in the waiting area before they had us in triage and then into a room. When we got into the room, we were greeted by the doctor within 5 minutes and continued to see the doctor several more times over the course of the night.
