I have been a Teamster for 18 months and have never met another teamster except for the 10 guys I work with. Our contract with the state was just "negotiated" so Teamsters make money by managing a new health plan, the state makes money by freezing my pay, and I get shafted by not getting the raise I was told I would when I was hired on. Since my pay is locked in at 80% for the next 4 years does that mean my Union dues are going to be 80%? Does Pat Gleason only get 80% of his 160k salary?
I've been a member since 1978. Served as Steward, Trustee, and Vice President of Local 327. I now work off the Referral Book. I have been bringing up concerns with Representation in the Motion Picture Industry. Now they let a person come off the street and work the job I have been doing for the last three Seasons. I'm fighting this action, but tells you something about what has happened to Local 327 Nashville.

We can never get in touch with our rep we pay the union tremendous amounts of money and the man can't answer the phone you can call leave a msg and sometimes never get a response..... And my employer refuses to work with him won't even sit in a room with would rather go to court!!! He said he will only work with his higher ups
