I had an insurance check made out to a repair shop and I. An employee at TD Bank deposited the check without witnessing me endorse the check in the amount of $5,876.56. I filed a police report almost 2 months ago for my check being cashed illegally February 11, 2019. The police waited for the store manager to speak with him, he continued to assist another customer so the police office left his card. Complaint about TD HELOC, PO Box 8400, Lewiston, ME 04243 TD automatically drafts my HELOC regular payment each month on the due date. On multiple occasions I made an additional payment to my TD HELOC with clear instructions that it go toward principal reduction -- only to find out later that it was mischaracterized as a regular payment. I would guess this has happened at least ten times (that I am aware of). The local branch people are not the problem. Applied for a ***** at the end of January 2019, We asked for Marcia was our original processor. Marcia asked for supporting documents and then stopped communicating. We reached out to another processor, who put us in touch with a manager, J. K***, who farmed our account to Karen. This complaint is about TD bank in general not just my branch. I opened an account online and was under the impression that it was free banking. I set up the online banking, added my account and set up a recurring payment so there is no chance of my payment ever being late. Nevermind the fact that this bank lives in the dark ages and has an upside down minimum balance policy, TD Bank *lies* to new customers: I opened my account Wednesday with 2 money orders (drawn at the same time, by the same person, at the same place) and a check. The rep who opened my account told me the funds would be available the next day, Friday at the latest. The worse credit card to have. After a online incident my payment did not post on the scheduled date and I received an email advising that I was past due. I immediately took action and called to clarify, made the payment even got the late fee removed. After only 4 days of being late, this company took the liberty to reduce my credit limit and immediately report it to Experian. We were charged $35 overdraft fees for $5 transactions that had been pending for three days that had already been deducted from the "Available" balance, after being assured by customer service that fees would not be charged on items that had already been deducted from the available balance. Customer service does not agree with the local office and the non profit customer gets charged $140 for trusting the central office. Their Overdraft policy is a sham they tell you the day the transaction is done that the account will reflect as such and when you least expect it the charge can pend and if you end with a negative balance they will charge you 35.00 dollars as an overdraft even though when you made the purchase it was in the positive.
