best haircut! – I just got my haircut at Takamichi hair, with Mari, she's just an amazing stylist, I love my new haircut, she knew right away what to do with my hair! Love it!

TAKAMICHI ROCKS – I've been going to Takamichi since I discovered their little gem of a place on First Street about 5 years ago...and haven't wavered since. Takamichi is simply the nicest guy, somehow remembers all the details about your life and family, always makes you feel at home. His new salon is fab, such a cool, cool space. Highly recommend it to all.
NYC style – Wow. I got a really nice cut from Melissa a few days ago. I just love this salon. This might sound cheesy, but I felt so cool last night when I was watching the TimeOut station ondemand and they did a profile on Takamichi. My boyfriend started cracking up when I practically shouted out "Oh my God that's where I get my hair cut!" at the tv. Keep up the great work.
worth the wait – first of all, i love the space. you get in an old fashioned elevator of some sort and before you know it, you are immersed in what is probably the coolest-looking salon in NYC. i know, i've been to them all. (: i met with melissa a while back to lighten my hair, but she told me i had to wait until my damaged hair ( a bad home dye job) recovered. anyway, she finally worked on my hair last week and i am so pleased with the results. the color is so beautiful that i had to buy some new threads to top of the look... read more
