Great service, talented artists – Takahiro really is an artist and he takes cutting hair very seriously. He will listen to what you want, but also give you suggestions for what he thinks will look good for your hair type. When the cut is done, he always gives recommendation for styling, but never pushes you to buy any products. The only problem is that they are getting so popular that it will be hard to get an appointment!
Best hair cut in the city! – I have gone to many hair salons all over lower Manhattan and every time I leave feeling upset and irritated. Takamichi Hair was a completely different experience. Takahiro - beautiful curls.... – I want to share my experience at Takamichi Hair. I am utterly thankful to my friend Chris who introduced me. Amazing Cutting Technique – I had my hair cut last week at Takamichi Hair and had the chance to get Takahiro! An amazing Hair Stylist with techniques I have not seen before. He is such an artist! the experience was just fabulous and I wanted to thank him! i tried so many different salons and looked fab for two days....10 days passed and I still look great! ;) I have found my Stylist in NY...finally! by the way, also had the japanese eyelash perm...it is true---just amazing. no need to curl my lashes anymore. xoxo e

simply the BEST pedicure! – takamichi always cuts my hair, and I LOVE it, he is simply the best. so with his high level, I had to try the addition-takamichi Head to Toe and have to say that I have never had such a Pedicure in my life. Yoshie is just amazing, she is so detail oriented and such a perfectionist. her massage skills--amazing. JUST try it! lemme know. xo
Carole is great! – Went to Takamichi for the first time and was really happy with the experience. No attitude, everyone is laid-back and easy going....none of that "everyone in here is trying to be cool, so we're going to be snotty to you" attitude. It's very spacious and airy so you can have a conversation without everyone listening to you. They offer you a drink, but none of it is obsequious, which I'm so happy about. Exceptional stylist = Carole! – I have been to many salons in New York. I am usually unimpressed by either the feel of the place, or the bad attitude/ incompetence of the stylist. I heard about Takamichi HAIR from a friend who highly recommended it. I had damaged hair from a previous stylist, so I booked a cut and colour with Carole. She was amazing! Hair cut the i wanted – I get very panicky allowing someone to cut my hair. When I go to a salon I always explain to the hairstylist how I would like my hair cut, but they always get it wrong. Unlike Tamami, she gave me the hair cut that I wanted and added a few layers that made the whole look even better, ?LOVE IT????.. Not only was she able to give me the hair cut that I wanted and cut it in a shape that would suit my face, she made me feel very comfortable. I will differently be seeing Tamami again in a month.
