fashion exec – Fantastic!! I was intrigued after reading about takamichi hair on citysearch and went to have my hair colored and cut by Andy, who did an amazing job. I have been traumatized by many stylists in the past, but this time my highlights look very natural and my hair feels softer than ever.. and Andy gave me a great new cut that looks cool and flatters my face. not to mention he is super cute and sweet!
Great Cut! – I had my hair done here and I was quite pleased with the results! I'll be coming back to this place for sure. The staff is also really friendly.
Perfection! – Takamichi amazed me when I let him do his thing. I've never paid much attention to my hair, but he transformed my look! The salon is mellow with a funky fishtank and superb music. Takamichi is friendly, creative, and encouraging. My friends raved about my new look and wanted to know immediately where I had gone. Takamichi is officially my new stylist!
Great cuts with good soundtrack – I've been in New York for 10 years and was flying back to a barber in London for my haircuts until a friend introduced me to this guy. Finally someone who really understands the weird shape of my head and direction my hair grows, both of which seem to have baffled hairdressers everywhere! Get the owner, Takamichi. great cut, great company – Takamichi is a master. He is attentive and sensitive, and I appreciate how he pushes me in directions that are good for me (and dissuades me from potential mistakes!). He is honest, and genuinely wants all his clients to be as sexy and attractive as they can be! Fresh and Beautiful – My hair looks Great!! I highly recommend this salon for anyone who is looking for a stylish haircut. I loved the atmosphere which was relaxing and unpretentious. It is not often that you find a hair salon with these characteristics.
Never go back to a "name" salon again – A friend finally made me realize that I see my stylist more than I see my doctor. It's important to go to someone I trust with my hair, somewhere where i feel comfortable and relaxed--not pressured to buy every product in the salon. Takamichi is the place to go if you want an outstanding stylist, but you're sick of waiting 2 months to get an appointment at a snobby salon where you can never truly feel relaxed. sublime – I had an amazing experience at Takamichi and will definitely keep going back to him. The space is very minimal and cool.. love the fish tank. I highly recommend.. the prices are reasonable and the service is fantastic and very personal. I have gone from salon to salon without finding someone that I can trust but with Takamichi, I know I can get expert advice on anything from trends, to hair care, to what will/won't work... and an excellent hair cut too, no strings attached.
takamichi is the hairsalon if you are not looking for a factory...many people, long waiting hours and hard core selling of hair products. if you want to feel at home, have a good chat and leave happy with a good haircut, go and visit takamichi.
