Andy is the man!!!! – I found this place on citysearch and thougth that it might be worth the try since it had such good ratings. WORTH THE TRY...this experience has changed my life.....I got the haircut that I was looking for for over 20 years!!!! I wasn't really sure what I wanted so I just mumble something about bangs and airy, etc. and Andy just smiled and said that he knows exactly what I want and if I trust him. 60 minutes later I was the happiest person alive. LOVED IT, LOVED IT!!!!!
morgue tech – It was my first visit to the salon and it was FABULOUS! The entire staff was warm and friendly. Andy is super talented, attentive and funny! I didn't even have to tell him how I wanted my hair cut, just let him do his thing and it turned out great!
The reviews are true! – Takamichi gave an incredible shampooing (I couldn't figure out exactly how he did it!) and had an excentric technique. Always soft-spoken and friendly, he had a good sense of humor and a marked ability to make small talk. When I explained that my beard trimmer had crapped out, he offered to trim my beard (at no additional expense). Takamichi, his colleagues and the rest of the staff were all amicable and professional. great! – straight out - first time - wow! andy is awesome. been searching of a stylist since mine moved to LA - go molly! - and andy is it. totally confident, completely responsive, an absolute artist. the way he works with razors is dance like. takamichi hair gives the highest level of care without pretense making it all the more relaxing and fun. it's going to be exciting to see how they interpret my fiance's hair.
hmceire – I had my hair cut by Melissa who was great. She spent at least an hour cutting my hair rectifying a bad haircut by somebody else. I walked out feeling much better about my hair and myself.
Great cut and great color – I'm so happy with my cut and color. After years of going to a mediocre (but very cheap) salon, I forgot what it was like to look stylish. Melisa gave me a whole new look and now I feel much more attractive! It's a little pricey but it's worth it.
Great cut, great place – Melisa's cut my hair for seven years. I've even moved out of town, and I still go to Melisa to have my hair cut. That's how good she is. And Takamichi Hair is a warm, friendly place with the perfect amount of New York hip-ness.

Come here if you want a good haircut – I never had a good haircut until I first visited Melisa nearly 4 years ago. Since then, I have seen her transform many ackward heads of hair (mine included) and can honestly say she always knows what cut and color will make a person look her/his best.
