Amazing new services – I went there because I have been told they are now offering beauty services such as manicure, pedicure and eyelash permanent and I got semi-permanent mascara! Everything was perfect: the place is beautiful, spacious and the atmosphere makes you feel relaxed and at ease. Great color – I've been looking for a good colorist for a long time with no luck. It was only when a friend recommended me to see Marina a few years ago, I knew there was a match. I've been very happy with her work and have been getting a lot of compliments on my hair color. When she changed salons, I followed her to Takamichi Hair and was pleasantly surprised - laidback atmosphere, pleasant staff, convenient location. Highly recommend.

Best hair cut downtown New York – I just went to Takamichi Hair to have my hair cut with Takahiro and he did such a great job. The salon is beautiful, located on the 7th floor of an industrial building, I very much like the privacy, and the luxury of the space. And, the most important, the hair cut is brilliant, my boyfriend and all my friends loved it, Takahiro really worked with my style and gave me a beautiful, stylish hair cut. Best Salon in NYC – I made my first appointment at Takamichi Hair after reading that they were voted Best downtown Salon of 2006 by the Village Voice. The salon is located a block away from my apartment so I decided to try it out. I got a color and cut by Takahiro and I couldn't be happier. Every day ,I get great compliments on my hair. The best thing about it is that I wake up looking and feeling great! Truely the best NYC salon!!!
Where'd Mari go?!?! – It tok me seven years in NYC to find a stylist who was competent, friendly, not ridiculously overpriced or overbooked. I finally found Mari a few months ago, and she changed my world. I went from hating hair, haircuts, and hair salons to actually looking forward to seeing her-- not just for the fabulous, genius cuts she agave me that still look hot even right out of bed and 3 months grown out-- but for her warm, genuine personality and great conversation. Now she's gone. Please someone tell me where.
Beautiful!!!!!!! – What can I say? I am never satisfied with my hair. I have gone to the best and worst stylists in this fair city and hated every cut. I was just about to start blaming myself when I made an appointment at Takamichi Hair at a friend's suggestion. Takahiro gave me the perfect hair cut! Not only is he a talented stylist, but he is also a makeup artist. I left right from the salon for dinner and dancing with tons of compliments on my new look. Thank you!!!!!
