It was the first time meet Dr Akerman and he was friendly, good sense of humor and professional. I would recommend him to my friends and family.
Dr. Akerman actually listens and collaborates with you to find a solution to your problem. This is extremely rare with specialist physicians. I scheduled 3 interviews with different GIs to interview them and decide who I wanted to work with. He was my first interview and I cancelled the other 2, confident he would be my first choice. Dr. Ackerman make me feel he is a trustworthy doctor.
Went in for a second colonoscopy (first one, at age 49, was done by now-retired Mickey Goldschmitt), and I had waited a while, so I was somewhat anxious. Good consultation review with PA Heather and quick scheduling for procedure. Very detailed prep instructions and about the least onerous prep possible. Very efficient outpatient center with an excellent anesthesiologist and support staff.
Dr Akerman is personable and friendly. He explained my procedure clearly, and answered all my questions both before and afterward. I experienced no discomfort at all. I would recommend his services wholeheartedly.
I was a new patient and Dr. Akerman can and introduced himself to me before my procedure. That made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Akerman and his safe was very friendly and professional. They also called after the procedure to make sure I was fine. I would highly recommend him. Great Job
