My husband saw Dr. Akerman last year, and I had a patient of mine also rave about him. When I turned 45 my PCP insisted I do a colonoscopy. While she gave me other names, I chose Dr. Akerman because I was so impressed with his bedside manner when my husband had an EGD and Colonoscopy. The doctor was down to earth, explained everything, and gave his recommendations for my husband. I decided to go to him. Excellent care. Very professional staff from beginning to end. Everything went very smoothly. I would recommend Dr. Akerman and his staff to anyone. From appointment to scheduling of the procedure to the day of the procedure. Etc.
Dr. Akerman's staff over the phone was great and very informative about my colonoscopy. Easy to schedule an appointment and got in when I wanted. Follow up about the appointment was very good as well. Digestive health center was great with all the reminders. That is where the procedure took place. The staff there was so friendly and wonderful. Dr. Ackerman and staff are professional, attentive and great bedside manner. I had a colonoscopy and EGD, he made me feel comfortable and at ease. He answered all of my questions, as well as he listened to my concerns. I would totally totally recommend Dr. Ackerman.
Dr. Ackerman is fantastic and the office is efficient and clean. I'll definitely recommend him to anyone I know that needs a good GI. I also had an endoscopy on Wednesday and although I was nervous, he put me at ease. It ending up being a great nap and no reason to have stressed!
Everyone I encountered in his office, was friendly, courteous, helpful, and efficient!
