Dr Akerman greeted me before the procedure and in the procedure room discussed what he would do as well as talked to me afterwards. I appreciated that. I only had a problem with the anesthesiologist who ignored my request for nausea medication. As a result I had vomiting all afternoon. I expected a sore throat but the vomiting made it worse.
Dr Ackerman and the staff made this process easy, comfortable and painless. Would highly recommend Dr Ackerman and DHAT.
Dr. Akerman takes the time to talk with me about any and all procedures. He answers all of my questions and concerns and never acts like his is in a hurry to see the next patient. A doctor who takes the time to answer questions and concerns is the physician a patient can trust and feel comfortable seeing.
Dr Ackerman was very sincere, and took great care of me. He helped me understand my condition and explained things really well. He followed up with me after my procedure for several days in a row to check and make sure I was doing ok.
The staff was professional and courteous. I was taken on time and had little waiting time.
I have now had two procedures performed by Dr. Akerman. He is an excellent, caring doctor who is quick to answer any questions I may have. He responds incredibly quick to messages sent to him through his portal. The procedures have gone really well and quickly!
Colonoscopy for cancer screening went super smooth and was as pleasant as I imagine it can be. Took advantage of the 'open access colonoscopy' option, was able to schedule and communicate with the office through email and portal with ease. Office staff was great and went above what was required for my prep stuff. Everything you need to know is offered on his website videos and blog posts. Day of event was ahead of schedule and knocked it out in no time, all aftercare and results delivery was great.
Dr. Akerman explained his findings in a clear and concise manner in terms I understood. He was caring, professional and compassionate.
I appreciate the attention he pays to my Pancreas issues. I have other stomache issues that he has been working with me on also.
