Dr. Akerman and his staff were exceptional. I was very nervous about my procedure but not only did Dr. Akerman help ease my mind, the entire experience from my consultation to my post-procedure care was excellent. So thankful for the care they provided and would recommend him and his staff to anyone.
I had been procrastinating getting my colonoscopy done for few years thinking it would be very complicated. But I was so wrong. Dr. Akerman was so nice and made me feel comfortable from the day of initial consultation. I already talked to my friends and colleagues about how simple the whole process was. I definitely recommend Dr. Akerman to anyone intending to get colonoscopy and/or endoscopy done.
I would absolutely recommend Dr. Akerman based on how he handled my consultation and colonoscopy. My PCP referred me to Dr. Akerman after a positive Cologuard result. I had a great experience with Dr Akerman for my first colonoscopy a few days ago. The procedure was very straightforward and he was reassuring both before and afterwards when we reviewed the results. I felt comfortable and at ease throughout the process and would definitely recommend him to others.
Dr. Akerman explained the results of my scan completely with the prognosis. The team at DHAT is phenomenal.

I had to see a PA for office visit and I met Dr Akerman first time in the hospital for my procedure! Very nice doc and knows what he is talking about! His office staff is wonderful and very helpful! Would definitely recommend him. I had an enteroscopy and the procedure went smoothly.
