The staff is great. The only complaint I have is the LACK of cafeteria hours. No dinner all 7 days(which I think is when most working people come to visit loved ones) & not to mention the staff no longer has that option. One of the nurses stated only breakfast is served on the weekends-closes at 10:30am!! What's with this?
One star for your remodeled ER that called me twice this morning, nurse Nancy I believe her name was. The worst phone calls and the worst customer service from you guys. You hid from people that you have two sections now: emergency and urgent care, and accuse people of coming in to the emergency. Why you didn't point to the right place then?
After the birth of a child can be a very difficult time for a mother. I was very fortunate to be able to attend parent baby support group at Swedish Edmonds. Unfortunately the hospital has decided to stop offering this support group for new moms. Of all things to cut I think this should be at the bottom of the list. It takes minimal resources and shows the hospital is invested in providing support for their patients beyond just delivery. I really hope they reconsider this decision so future mom's get the support they need
They literally saved my life. The Emergency Room staff was quick to respond and get me into a room. A physician came in immediately and began ordering tests, listening to my concerns and I was admitted for care. All of their staff of physicians, the Gastrointologist, Certified Nurse Assistants and Nurses & all others were so organized, helpful and quick to respond to my needs and comfort. Since Swedish took over it is a vastly improved hospital!
One of the toughest places to contact by phone; especially when one of their doctors or pharmacists calls my cellphone 'by mistake' to consult with a/another doctor about a patient. Fortunately, this only occurs sporadically, and I can only assume that eventually the doctor does get contacted. I'm glad I'm not a patient @ Swedish when this happens. I would not want to go back to a doctor's office/hospital where they can't even keep their directory current/correct. You get 1 star because I can't give you 0 stars.
