I was admitted with pneumonia on Christmas night...spent 4 days on 5 West, and I have to say, if you have to be in a hospital, this is a great place to be. I never lacked attention by the nursing staff (all of whom were always cheerful and upbeat), and Dr. Basra and his wife, Karen Basra, were two of the most compassionate medical professionals I have ever met. My gratitude for the great care I received cannot be fully expressed here.
I was admitted to the hospital on Monday morning with a fever, elevated white blood cell count, and pain in the lower right side of my abdomen. I was moved to floor 8, and the nurses there were awsome! Shoutout to MaryBeth, Aimee, and Kaylani. I had surgery on Thursday to remove my appendix, and the surgical staff were awesome. I had a hard time coming out of anesthesia, but the staff were amazing with taking care of me. Two nurses were really rude. One ignored me when the blood pressure cuff was malfunctioning. Another practically yelled at me to get up while I'm still dizzy and that I'm fine because my results were normal. Almost fell flat on my f acc e because she hardly helped me. My main nurse was great though. Only saw one dr.
Please do something to reprimand a nurse at your hospital that would post such a horrific comment about the tragedy Texas is suffering.
