THis store had been servicing my ring, with protection plan included, for years. After my last visit they said it was time for me to renew my plan, but upon picking my ring up from them weeks later they said they could not find my old plan in their system nor would they create a new protection plan. I have filed a BBB complaint with their headquarters location ‘Signet’ in Akron to get their corporate folks involved since their local store has been abysmal in fixing their error
I purchased a wedding ring from Kay Jewelers in Asheboro, NC in the month of Feb. 2017. I have had to take it back for repairs 2x for the same reason. The last time was the beginning of Dec. and I've been given 3 different promise dates BECAUSE I've called them and I still don't have the ring. For any jewelry shopper, let me warn you to not shop @ this over-priced, lying and thieve stealing Company. 3 different people told me 3 different things and yet i still haven't gotten credit to my G.C. or refunded my money. On December 27, 2017 at around 545 pm, I entered Kay Jewelers East Point Mall location store. I patiently waited in a somewhat long line to pick up an online order. On December 1st I brought my wife’s ring in for a cleaning. They quickly cleaned it and informed me that I may want to have one of the center prongs tightened. The side diamonds looked great. I advised that I’d need to check with the wife, as I was instructed not to let her ring out of my sight (she’s a bit protective of it). I was quoted a repair cost of $49 and change, not bad at all. I bought my fiancé a necklace from the Lancaster, PA Jared last Christmas that she lost at work. I decided to get her another one since it held a lot of sentimental value to her. This is the email I have sent to Kay Jewelers on line customer care. A while back I had gone into the store in the Joliet Mall to get a 15 inch pearl necklace restrung. The string on it had broken while I was attending a wedding. The male clerk who waited on me said they would have to get a quote on it and let me know. Now I do know that most places charge $2/3 per inch to restring, plus the necklace has pearls of all the same size. 3 years ago my husband purchased me a promise ring(sterling silver) that turned into an engagement ring. From there we bought a jacket (white gold) to match the ring for our wedding.
