Waited 10 mins to be seated when there was only 5 People in the restaurant , then had to wait another 20min and Walked out because they decided to pay more attention to a cop that walked in after us ... Worst service ever I understand be short handed but that was BS !! Will be calling Coorperate
The Joliet il location next to the mall is the worst steak and shake I have ever been to. The staff is terrible management is a joke food is terrible. The staff doesn't wait on tables right away. Caught grillers spitting in food and using sand paper to sharpen spatula on cooking and prepping surfaces. Stay away from this restaurant
A waitress there spit in my face while she was talking. She was trying to interrupt me and speak over me when she sprayed saliva out her mouth into my eye and all over my face. Then instead of apologizing she tells me it’s been a long day. I work near here so I get food here sometimes because yknow it's close. BUT WHY does it take FOREVER to take my order or take my payment??? I only get 30 minutes for my lunch so ONE more time of this and I won't be coming back. Every other Steak n Shake I've been to never had this issue. So I know you can get it figured out.
We ordered a number 14 and 15, but we got a 14 with half the toppings missing and a single instead of a 15(bacon cheese burger). And there was NO PICKLES on the 14!!! I'm pregnant and wanted EXTRA pickles. Also the cheese was melted to the wrapper and not even on the burger!...so pissed because we PAID for what we ordered and got something completely different!
I placed an online order tonight and one of the burgers was wrong. I called to speak to someone and I was immediately placed on hold. After 26mins I gave up. Clearly the manager there doesn’t care as he was the one who put me on an immediate hold before he could even finish his sentence of Steak ‘n Shake pls hold. Food was good. It was thanksgiving but our waiter wasn't so good. Had wait. Seated someone before us. Didn't get refills. Seemed more interested in other tables. Not very attentive.
