The haunted house (once you finally got there) was good (not great). BUT I felt like I couldn't even enjoy it after waiting in the cold (and SIX different lines) for 3 hours . Your fast pass doesn't get you anywhere fast. An hour & a half wait for the shuttle just to be shuffled from line to line once you got to the property. It was ridiculous. Get in line for your ticket to go to the "vip" tent with 200 other people. Wait. Get "in" just to wait in 3 more lines before you actually get to walk thru the attraction. Very disapp... read more

As everyone else wrote, parking, buses, and lines were very disorganized, but it was opening night for a new large scale haunt.....problems are expected. The cemetery in the woods was pretty cool, great use of your surroundings. Plenty of good scare opportunities were missed due to lack of actors. The actual haunt building was very well constructed. Very impressive. Inside, the attention to detail in all the rooms was amazing, great static props, good use of animation, but a very low scare factor. There was plenty of great s... read more

We arrived around 7:30 pm on Saturday 10/8 and got back to our car at 11:00pm. Don't waste your time or money if you're looking for a scare. Parking at the metra station was full so we were sent to city hall (which in the long run was actually a positive). The line for the bus at city hall at that point was not very long. We waited 20 mins for a bus to the haunted house ticket booth. (Those who arrived before us at the Metra station waited up to 2 hours or more just to get to the ticket area - so going to overflow drasticall... read more

This was hands down the worst haunted house experience I have ever had. Extremely poor planning on the part of the owners and false advertising on Groupon! We had the fast pass, which was the only reason we went there. The first line was an hour and a half, which wouldn't have been bad except we were on the train platform with freight trains speeding by. The bus then took us to a second line which was 45 minutes to purchase tickets. It was then another 45 minutes to walk through the woods where we waited in yet another line.... read more

Well we got there at about 8:45 and we hard to park pretty far and than walk to the metes station where you waiting in a HUGE line for the shuttle bus. We waiting about an hour and a half to get on the bus and there was only 2 porta potties which you also had to stand in a long line to get into. Than after the 5 minute bus ride to the haunted house you had to wait in another like to get your ticket, than another line to get into the woods where you think your adventure finally begins. That wait took about 2 hours. And we bou... read more

The lines were really long, which was to be expected opening weekend. The house was incredibly detailed & all the actors stayed in character the entire time. We had a great time. I recommend getting there at least an hour before it opens to avoid the wait. Wear comfy shoes & warm clothes!!

It was really enjoyable. You start with a bus ride into the deep woods in an old school bus. Then, you explore the woods which leads you to the mansion. It's cool how they created a different experience by the secret passages and interesting costumes. You can win your money back at the end, and everyone gets to go down a slide at the end. It's fun, not crazy expensive (on Groupon) and a unique experience. Only downside is that the lines are kinda long, so get there early. I think lines will die down once it's further from op... read more

This place is amazing, it's definitely worth the wait. Long lines should be expected at any haunted house, but especially on their opening weekend! The mansion is gorgeous, the woods were really creepy, the actors were amazing, and it was just a great experience for us, despite the lines. It really is a unique haunted house. The history behind the place already gives it the scare factor. I recommend coming to check it out or to give it a second chance for everyone that gave 1 star. There is tremendous potential and there's a... read more
