The women's center will perform tests on you that you clearly told the practitioners not to. Then when you complain and ask why these tests were performed without your consent, they ignore and dismiss your concerns. This should be illegal.
RecommendedI normally don’t like St. Mary’s but after just having my baby there I highly recommend them. I had amazing nursing staff on both the labor and delivery side as well as the mother and baby unit. The nurses on the labor and delivery side are the reason I was able to have my son vaginally instead of a c-section. I spent 39 hours in labor and an over all stay of 5 days between induction and recovery. I definitely recommend having a baby there! The staff was so attentive and friendly to my family and myself. Horrible service ER I don’t recommend
Very good and caring nursing staff.
The ER wait is ridiculous. After spending 5 hours here last night with inconclusive results, they asked us to come back for additional tests today (including bloodwork). 3 hours later, my son hasn't even had his blood drawn. I get that its *just* a followup - but for a potentially serious condition that will require surgery if he has it. Other people have come and gone...and we haven't even made it to step one. Next time I'll remember to go to Calvert.
I've always received excellent care at SMH. Tonight I was able to watch my first granddaughter be born and the professional midwife and compassion nurses shown was awesome. Not once did we ever have to want for anything and they all bent over backwards to make sure we were all able to experience this. Thank you to all of them.
they insisted my 21 month old with fever and vomiting had a UTI (she doesnt) and wanted to do an in and out catheter since shes not able to go on demand really, I reluctantly agreed. shes now unable to urinate and screams in pain. had to take her to another hospital and shes been diagnosed with adhesions since they apparently are incompetent here when it comes to catheterization... now my sweet baby girl will have pain for several days if not weeks because of these idiots! worth the drive up to anne arundel instead of this a... read more
Was sent to St Mary’s from med express for possible appendicitis, med express called and gave us the transfer paperwork. We arrived at 6 pm 7/26/2019, told the lady at the desk that my daughter was there to rule out appendicitis. She was triaged at 6:30, they took blood and started an iv and sent us back to the lobby, finally after over 3 hours of waiting she was called back. At 10:30 she was given the contrast for a ct scan. At midnight she was taken for the ct scan. At 1:30 am 7/27/2019 she was taken to the OR for surgery ... read more
