I took two nephews went to Saint Elmo eat last night The steak very good and we have a good time there I enjoy it a lot
DELISH :::Everything about this place rocks. Atmosphere is lively, five stars best steak I ever had. A landmark worth visiting.
Food was delicious and I was pleasantly surprised that they now have the Devour Downtown menu specials every weekend! We love eating at St Elmo's!
A touch of old school tradition in the all too mainstream commercial downtown area. This is THE restaurant in Indianapolis, and steaks are excellent! I wish they had a basic dress code as you can often be sat next to a guy in a camo hat or other obnoxious clothing that kills the vibe.
The service and the drinks were amazing. The waitress that helped us was friendly and inviting. The shrimp cocktail was everything you hear about....amazing. Now the bad. We had four people at our table and three out of four had their steak overdone. I ordered the dry aged strip which should be juicy and delicious. It came overdone, was dry and almost hockey puck like when I ordered it medium rare. Not what I expected from a steakhouse many rate among the best in the country.
St. Elmo is the class act of traditional steak houses: History and tradition without stuffiness. An attentive staff without intrusiveness or being rushed. Knowledgeable bartenders and an atmosphere you expect the Rat Pack to walk out of. And steak... Wonderful steak. We started out with their legendary shrimp cocktail and one of their signature cocktails. I enjoyed the 60 day dry-aged bone-in ribeye, which was perfect. Dessert, after dinner drinks and coffee made for the perfect evening. Melissa, our server, was perfect! Hig... read more
We were in town for a bachelor party. I inquired about 6 weeks prior to the event about private dining options. They were very quick with a response. We decided against private dining as I was unable to get a firm number of attendees that far out. So they put us in general dining with a reservation for the time I requested. We arrived about a half hour early. Our table was not quite ready, so they took my cell number and would text when it was ready. We went upstairs to the 1933 Lounge, and our table was ready before we even... read more
I was Very impressed! They were very busy but I was able to get a seat at the bar immediately. Service and the shrimp cocktail were wonderful. I will definitely go back!
My husband and I ate there recently and the food was amazing. We had to have the famous shrimp cocktail but I also had the filet and it was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. Brice was our server and he was very good, informative and attentive. Great service and a fantastic overall experience. I highly recommend it to everyone
