Shrimp cocktail is good, but spicy as the waiter stated. The lobster bisque was awesome and we all thought the main dishes were excellent. One had the cowboy ribeye, one bone-in filet and one porterhouse.
Eat the shrimp cocktail and run for steak elsewhere.
Love this place. My kids love this place. The staff is top notch, the food is top notch. Indy has this beyond stupid rule about kids being near bars that only exists in Indy and perhaps the Middle East. Thankfully, the great people at St. Elmo's welcome kids to dine with open arms. I'll be back every time I visit Indy. See you again, St. Elmo's!!!
My husband and I have been here twice and think it is fabulous. Beautiful restaurant with a classic and romantic feel, and some absolutely delicious food that will leave you beyond satisfied.

My husband and I visited for our anniversary. From the atmosphere to the service to the food, this place was outstanding. The shrimp cocktail was as good as promised and this was easily the best steak I've ever had. We were even given a free dessert for our anniversary. What an wonderful evening!!
If you have not been to St. Elmo Steak House you are missing out. The service is the BEST you will ever receive and the food is the BEST you will ever taste. Even if you are not into steak they have many other choices to choose. This is a place my family chooses to celebrate family and career milestones and trust me when I say they help you celebrate. From the hand signed celebration card on your table to the server making mention of your celebration, it's quite personal. St. Elmo is a MUST try!

First off the horseradish isn't as hot as the locals claim but it is impressive. Secondly the meats were amazing. My fiancé had the 60 day dry aged ribeye and found it to be the best steak she ever ate. I had the lamb porterhouse and the marinade was perfect. Look forward to our next trip to Indianapolis and will definitely make reservations in advance.
