I will never in my life recommend anyone to St Mary's hospital or Dean Clinic. They lose patients daily to mercy hospital & now doctors that have been there for several years are quitting. I found out my dr quit yesterday when I called to schedule an appt. I am weighing my options & thinking about going back to mercy. Dean's drs are in such a hurry to leave on time that their negligence caused my oldest son last year a 10 day stay in the PICU in October & just last weekend caused my 6yr old to have emergency surgery on Sunda... read more

I recently had given birth to my daughter at SSM Janesville, and while my daughter had to be transferred to the NICU in Madison due to complications from an early birth, my experience here was excellent. Everyone from prenatal care to post natal treated us kindly, and with dignity. I would like to recognize Bridgette from MFM who preformed our ultrasounds, and made us feel comfortable, and was incredibly thorough. I usually have awesome things to say about dean but today if there was a redo button, I would push it. I had an ultrasound to find out what the gender was. It's my third kid so I figured we could do a gender reveal. So we told the tech that we didn't want to know the gender. She said ok. After awhile of taking pictures and seeing our peanut, she reveals, " oh your having a girl." I was heart broken. I was gonna do a gender reveal with a video for my husband who is an over the road truck driver. There goes the surprise.
Doctor Perry in the trauma clinic is a professional and i feel much better since ive been there at 8 o'clock this morning.
The ER is staffed by people who have no idea what they are doing. I was brought in for abdominal cramps and my BP was through the roof! There was no attempt to check my heart,give oxygen or support in any way. I was left sitting on the edge of the bed and had to ask for a nurse twice to get help to lay down. I never got to see an actual doctor during this fiasco. The nurses while nice were doused in perfume which turned my stomach. Tattoos were displayed proudly. Worst hospital I’ve ever been to! I’ll never go back not even if I was dying. They don’t have a clue what they are doing in the ER check in & the nurses need to go back to school. ���
