The ferry takes passengers, autos, RVs, tour buses, motorcycles, bicycles, and commercial trucks across Lake Michigan between Ludington, Michigan and Manitowoc, Wisconsin from mid-May through mid-October.

We had a lot of fun playing games in the lounge! I got a nice prize from playing Family Feud. We met some really nice people and enjoyed some pizza from the snack bar.
Big ship big fun. The games we played during the trip were great, and the prizes were a memento of our trip.

Best way to get from Michigan to MN through WI without having to drive around Chicago It's fun too with games, movies, lunch, gift shop, and even WIFi
We have taken this trip about eight times and have always had a wonderful time. The most fascinating part for me is the loading and unloading of the windmill trucks. Very relaxing and it sure beats driving!
Best way to head west regardless of where you are going, or to return back to the east - sure beats Chicago traffic or driving around the lake, even though Lake Michigan Circle Tour is awesome. The SS Badger is the best way across the Big Lake!
First pleasant surprise: When calling for reservations, you get a LIVE person on the phone. Great experience. Will repeat and repeat.
