The cleaning staff accidentally left the door to our room open. I mean open as in visibly open so that anyone in the hallway could have walked in while we were out and getting their hands on passports etc. An honest mistake, but nonetheless an acceptable one at a hotel. When we brought this up with the receptionist, we were met with poor service and no apology. Otherwise, it’s a charming hotel with a good location. A shame- stay here quite a lot for work, this time they only had singled so that’s what I booked. My boyfriend also booked a separate room which was paid for but he came and stayed in mine. We had a knock on the door at 4am to remind us that he ‘had his own room’ bizarre- not quite sure why we were being monitored or why they were bothered which bed we were sleeping in when he had paid for 2 rooms.
