Verified Renter This is NOT a good place to live. Aside from being the cheapest on the block, City Gate has nothing going for it.

Verified Renter Staff are very prompt to response to maintenance issues, even minor requests like fixing lightbulbs or the heat in the pool. I appreciate all the good work and that the building is kept in such good repair.

Verified Renter January 2024 was a hard month for downtown Portland and the Ladd--at no fault of the Ladd. The weather affected many downtown buildings, and maintenance and office staff were quick to respond, attentive, kind, and understanding to any issues our unit experienced, and helped us to move in the building to an even more amazing unit. Jonathan, Dawn, Josh, Marybelle, Rodrigo, all deserve our thanks and respect.

Avoid at all costs! Future residents: Stay away at all costs! In my opinion, the current management is the worst we've seen over 8 years. Research existing reviews' common theme: Poor communication and investment from management. FYI, the building legally a condo but apt renters have no HOA votes. Mgmt loves to blame the HOA for inaction, but they have majority of votes and chair it. Verified Renter Overall, I moved less than a month ago and everything is as expected. The community feel safe, the maintenance team is always available, the leasing team is very supporting. It is quiet during the day and the night, there are not noises or problems. Everyone is friendly and welcoming.

Loud, Awful Place to Live This is not a good place to live. I have had 17 maintenance cases and one is still unresolved. My unit was given to me with hot water turned off and a broken toilet. It supposedly passed inspection for make ready.

Verified Renter All around excellent place to live. Great staff onsite- very helpful. Maintenance requests are always responded to promptly and with excellent service. Amenities are great too.
