One star, because this BBB system would not let use zero stars. My family is very energy conscious. We keep the house at 59-degrees during the winter, and turn the heat down while no one is home. I go through MAYBE 125 gallons of home-heating oil over a three month span, some times longer. While in a price agreement contract with Slomin's, they INSIST that I need a 200 gallon fill in my tank every month, costing approx $550, and when challenged they keep quoting their system shows I will run out oil in less than a month, whi... read more

I only rated this company a 1 because I couldn't leave it as ZERO which it is! I HATE this company. They are horrible. My contract originally started in August of 2016 and they never called or sent a reminder when I was up and then I had to lock in Dec 2017. It expired and again they never called but that didn't stop them from delivering oil today at more than $1 per gallon more than the market price and leaving me with a huge bill. We signed on with Slomins Inc. in the fall of 2012. We signed and paid for a yearly service agreement which included annual cleaning of our oil burner. In the early spring of 2018, we called to schedule our annual cleaning. We were told that there were no appointments until November and that they would call if there was something earlier. I had a horrible experience with Slomin . I had a service contract with them and since I was on an emergency trip out of the country at the time of renewal of my contract they didn't want to renew the contract with me. A very rude representative Maria C. was so nasty and not listening to what I was saying she keep saying no we cant renew your contract any more . I was willing to pay and I actually paid over the phone to her and after she charged my card she said now someone is gonna com out but you have to pay COD since we d... read more

Don’t ever sign up for Slomins they rope you into a 60 month contract that you can never get out of even if your financial situation changes. They are awfull to work with.

I signed up with Slomin's back in April oil auto oil delivery and an alarm system. I can't express my dissatisfaction whit the company. One of the sensors on one of the windows stopped working within a week of installation, I called slomin's immediately to report the problem, thinking that I was going to get immediate response, to my surprise they didn't care. Horrible disgusting customer service IN TIME OF EMERGENCY THEY DO NOT CALL 911. Early this morning, the security system went off and I was having a panic attack because I was alone with my two small children. Sloman security never called me or 911. The alarm was on for more than 10 minutes but no response at all from Sloman. The cops, I called myself, had to tell me to turn it off. My husband and I had a cooling unit installed all went well until the inspection by Suffolk county informed us that the unit needed a second entrance port in order to pass inspection. We contacted slomins on numerous times only to be informed that its our problem not theirs. My husband is a disabled VET and on fixed income if WE were informed of this very important item we would have made arrangements for this additional cost. Misleading and false advertisement at it WORSE.
